Southdene Strings

The Southdene String Quartet & Duo specialize in wedding music. With over 20 years experience in providing wedding music in Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and across the North of England, we can offer expert advice in planning your big day as well as providing high quality music for your wedding.

Our string quartet and string duo perform a huge repertoire, which we are constantly updating.

You can also commission a special request if the song or piece you require isn’t already on our repertoire list.

 

Current favourites include ‘Tale as Old as Time’ from Beauty & the Beast,  ‘100 Years’ by Christina Perri, ‘Theme’ from Game of Thrones and Ed Sheeran ‘Perfect’. We also love the classics such as ‘Canon’ by Pachelbel and Tchaikowsky’s ‘Walz’ from Sleeping Beauty.

Creating the Perfect Atmosphere

Live music is a brilliant way of creating the atmosphere you want for your wedding day.

Because we perform live, we can time the start and end of pieces during your ceremony so that it is tailored perfectly to your timings. You choose your music for the bride’s entrance, 3 pieces during signing the register and the bride and groom’s exit, so the whole ceremony is completely personal to you. We also play for up to 30 minutes before the ceremony to set the mood in the room as guests arrive.
